About the Bootcamp

The style of the HAVIT Bootcamp sessions is non military and friendly.  It’s all about getting fit and having fun and we won’t intimidate you into working hard, but we will of course expect you to give 100% every session to ensure you get the results you want.

Whether you’re looking to lose weight, tone up or improve your fitness and strength, each bootcamp session includes a combination of exercises which are designed to provide you with a maximum work out. Your personal trainer will ensure each and every session is different and challenging for you. Any equipment needed for the session will be provided free of charge.

A typical Bootcamp session:

Well there is no such thing as every session will be different to the last one! However, there are several core principles that run through each session:

  • A short but comprehensive warm up to prepare your body for the session
  • An emphasis on the right technique for all forms of exercise. Your trainer will keep it simple so you can develop  the right technique before moving onto the more challenging exercises. If you are new to bootcamp or a form of exercise we will take the time to teach you. This philosophy applies to Boxing, Kettlebells and simple body weight exercises. The better your technique the more effective the exercise and the less likely injury will occur.
  • Having fun and working to the best of your ability. The more you put in the more you get out! It may hurt a bit (good pain as a opposed to bad pain i.e. injury pain) but the sense of achievement of knowing you’ve worked hard at the end of the session is well worth it.
  • Themed or targetted sessions. Themed sessions may involve mainly boxing or kettlebells or bodyweight exercises. Targetted sessions involve selecting particular muscle groups and targetting with a variety of exercises for maximum effect.
  • Taking care of your body -  at the start of every session we will ask if you have any injuries. Hopefully the answer will always be NO but if you do we offer alternative exercises to avoid making the injury worse. At the end of each session we offer a comprehensive stretch to warm down and help those tired muscles.
  • New training techniques – we are always on the search for new training techniques to bring variety and interest to the bootcamps.
